Our Story

My Puppet Pal is a custom puppet shop based just outside of Ottawa Ontario. We look to deliver a customized character that we personally step by step create with the help of yourself! We aim to deliver all this with a price point that is fair. The price being very adjustable due to the materials used in the creation of your very own pal! The problem with custom puppet fabrications is the price. They are either too expensive for the average consumer or the ones that are affordable are very bland, lifeless, and come at a dime a dozen. Here at My Puppet Pal we push the limits of what can be used to create a puppet. An old bed sheet perhaps, ordinary craft felt, foam work mats, Ping pong balls, Anything you can think of can be turned into something extraordinary!

Wanna build it yourself? Go ahead! we sell all the parts you need to build your own puppet. We can send them to you and you can place them anywhere on the puppet you would like! Its sort of like a Mr Potato head but the items can be put anywhere on the puppet. So get silly, strange, scary, and don’t forget creative! Want a piece for your pal that you can’t find in our shop? Just ask! We can make a custom piece just for you to make sure your pal is unique and one of a kind!

Not only is having a custom one of a kind pal made for you and your family affordable, Its extremely helpful as a tool with kids! Kids love puppets, and most of all they listen to puppets. We have found that puppets make a great parenting/teaching tool. Whether it be just reading to your little ones, getting their attention on an important matter, or yes… the dreaded potty training. Turn the creative process into a game even for your child, have them draw what kind of pal they would want and we can work from that. Your child will love their one and only unique pal!

My Puppet Pal isn’t just for children either. Have you ever just fallen in love with a character from something and you wanted to bring them a little more to life? We can do that! Custom character are our specialty, but we can also make replicas and parody pieces.

Gifts! Puppets are one of the most unique thoughtful gifts you could get a person. Friends getting married? Puppe-fy them! Make them remember their special day every time they look at their new pals. More than just puppets. We can do things that aren’t exactly puppets but are similar. Mascot costumes are just big puppets! And a custom plush is just a puppet minus the hollow sleeve that makes a puppet a lot less cuddle-able. With a special request like this however we will need to discuss a lot of the unique situation.
